Classroom for Heroes: Will we get a similar plot as BNHA?

Classroom for Heroes Will we get a similar plot as BNHA

Classroom for Heroes is an anime adaptation of the light novel written by Shin Araki and illustrated by Haruyuki Morisawa. The anime started airing on July 9th and will have a 12 episodes long run. It is a story about Rosewood Academy, where heroes are trained. Doesn’t this sound strangely similar to U.A. High School in BNHA, the top high school for heroes?

There’s also an advanced class at Rosewood Academy which seems vaguely identical to class 1-A at U.A. High School. The new anime about heroes has a lot of elements that remind one of Boku No Hero Academia. Maybe the similarities are not limited to a few elements but extend to the entire plot.  So, will get a similar plot as BNHA for Classroom for Heroes?

Similarities between Classroom for Heroes and BNHA

The similarities between the two anime are very few if we were to list any. They extend as far as the idea of Heroes and an academy dedicated to training heroes. Classroom for Heroes episode 1 hardly described anything about the power structure or scaling.

Therefore it’s a little far-fetched to make any assumptions just yet. We don’t even know the motivation of the heroes at Rosewood Academy and the final goal except for becoming heroes.

Differences between the two

Based on Classroom for Heroes episode 1 and everything we know of BNHA, there are plenty of differences to state.

  • BNHA was a plot-driven anime from the beginning. The same can’t be said about Classroom for Heroes; which is a character-driven story.
  • It has a lot of different tropes at play, we have the tsundere girl (which seems like an important part of the story), the ecchi elements, an overpowered MC, and demons as well. BNHA is limited in that sense.
  • It was straightforward and enhanced with good characters and a tight storyline. With episode 1, the story felt weak for the Classroom for Heroes. It failed to grip the attention as it was supposed to.

  • The plot also differs in terms of the demographic with Boku No Hero being Shonen and the other being more of a Seinen/Harem.

The new heroic anime will probably have a very different power structure from BNHA. The demons will have something of their own too and that’ll make it more diverse.

One might get the idea that the two anime have a similar plot because of the alike elements including the title. But the former hasn’t tried to be anything like the latter. We might see some developments which completely switch the current direction of the anime. But so far it can be said that the plot isn’t going to be similar to BNHA.

There are chances that the anime will give more weight to the action as seen in the first few minutes. In that case, Classroom for Heroes will become a generic battle-fantasy-ecchi-harem show. Unless it has something special to set it apart.

Conclusion

The Classroom for Heroes has a lot of space to completely change from what it is like in Episode 1. If it were to go in a similar direction as BNHA, it’ll be interesting to see how that turns out. With the introduction of demons, the anime will also explore other-worldly entities and phenomena it seems.
