High Card Season 2 has finally been announced with an official trailer, marking a leap for the much-anticipated anime which is set to hit the screens soon. The release window has also been revealed, with a tentative release schedule pointing towards a January 2024 release. The trailer has also been released with English subtitles but the one released on Twitter has set fans and their expectations in motion!

High Card anime – a synopsis of the plot

High Card anime features the adventures of Finn, the main protagonist when he discovers that his orphanage is nearing a shutdown. To save his place of belonging and his home, he sets out to earn a fortune. But, as fate would have it, Finn encounters a brutal car chase and a shootout, only to find out that these have been caused by none other than a lucky card.

The basic plot structure of High Card therefore states that the world is constantly changing and these changes are being controlled by a set of 52 X-playing cards. These cards bestow superhuman powers to the user and therein comes the crucial role of the High Card society. This group which has been assigned to collect these cards for the King takes in Finn as their fifth member.
