Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 233 spoilers have revealed a significantly favorable narrative for Satoru Gojo. With the blue-eyed charmer recovering from his injuries and attacking the Shikigami Mahoraga, the leaks haven’t disappointed and also reveal an interesting take by Sukuna during the battle of Gojo and Mahoraga. We saw during the earlier chapter the use of Gojo’s prowess to knock down Sukuna and the Mahoraga adapting to his Infinity. What we will see in this chapter is Gojo’s comeback and Sukuna’s intervention!
Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 233 spoilers: Gojo vs. Mahoraga after the former’s revival
The Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 233 begins with Yuji being firm on his belief that Gojo still stands superior to Mahoraga and has an even chance at winning the battle. Gojo revives using his Reversed Curse Technique and charges at Mahoraga with a punch before he starts chanting to conserve his Cursed Energy Output as he prepares to shoot a Cursed Technique Reversal: Red.
This is in relation to the observation made by Shoko who points out that Gojo and Sukuna’s cursed energy output has considerably decreased and their reaction time window has also increased.
But, while everyone wonders and fears the defeat of Gojo, an unholy thought to have crossed everyone’s mind, the sorcerer is actually elated to have finally met his match and to have found a way out of his loneliness from standing at the top of the ladder.
We know that Gojo reacts best during times of crisis, and there couldn’t be a better crisis at hand than battling two invincible foes alone in a state of complete unpredictability and unprecedented behavior.
Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 233 spoilers: Sukuna’s intervention and the use of a new Shikigami
While Gojo shoots the Reversal: Red at Mahoraga, Sukuna suddenly regains his consciousness and dodges to save the Shikigami. With the knowledge and the power of the Mahoraga having adapted to Infinity, all Sukuna needs to do is defend Mahoraga and attack Gojo every time the Mahoraga nullifies his infinity. Sukuna therefore uses the Rabbit Escape to rescue Mahoraga.
Mahoraga then prepares for an attack at Gojo, which the latter defends himself against, but is simultaneously hit by Sukuna’s water attack from Bansho (Max Elephant) as he pretends to be preparing for the Piercing Blood. Gojo finally understands Sukuna’s strategy and further deduces that he has started using other Shikigami as the Mahoraga has now gained control over Infinity.
Sukuna further summons a cross-Shikigami of Nue and Kon, which has been so far regarded as the Kango Jyuu Agito (Chimera Beast Agito). It is quite unclear, whether it is a merged Shikigami or an entirely new being, but Gojo on the other hand seems quite confident about his Reversal: Red and his childish opponents (giants).
Is Gojo going to employ a trump card against Sukuna and Mahoraga in Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 233?
Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 233 spoilers show the attack by two Shikigami on Gojo in a simultaneous formation. As soon as he dodges it, Sukuna emerges from the shadows and attacks Gojo with Bansho’s water strike.
Gojo manages to dodge this as well, but he realizes that he has to use Reversal: Red against Mahoraga at this point. Soon after releasing it, Satoru realizes that it was indeed a small attack. What does he do now?
Satoru Gojo is a man with impeccable battle tactics and hidden agendas. He has always a backup in his bag, and from what we have observed so far, it isn’t surprising when he uses a peculiar Cursed Technique we have never witnessed before when the crisis is greater than the imagination of it. Gojo might therefore finally use his trump card, the Unlimited Hollow Technique to defeat Mahoraga and Sukuna. He understands the risk of Sukuna knowing it, but one can only expect that he has a layered structure of backup plans.
Conclusion
Gojo’s plan regarding the Unlimited Hollow Technique has been stated in the Editor’s note as a reinforcement. But, that might not be all and enough to defeat the small yet overpowering army Sukuna has summoned. Gojo’s main intention should be rescuing Megumi, but we haven’t seen any hopes or traces of that either. What we can actually hope for is that the sorcerer will find a better and intelligent way of dealing with Sukuna and his underlings, to rescue Megumi from the clutches of the ruthless monster.
