With games like Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 and Jump Force, it is quite evident that the gaming industry has the potential to take a series to new heights in terms of popularity. While already ruling the hearts of millions, Jujutsu Kaisen Cursed Clash is another killer strike to the community. Bandai Namco recently announced its recent contribution and here’s everything that you should look forward to.

Jujutsu Kaisen Cursed Clash
Bandai Namco announced a console game for the franchise on the 2nd of July, 2023. It’s the first gaming adaptation for the franchise and it is looking quite promising. The game is still in development and is undergoing testing to bring out the best for its audience.
The game will be released for the following platforms:
- Nintendo Switch
- PlayStation 5
- PlayStation 4
- PC
- Xbox Series X|S
- Xbox One
It will 2 v 2 online team brawler, with exciting mechanics centered around curse techniques and energies. It will include an offline mode, that is expected to cover till the Kyoto Goodwill Event Arc. The trailer gave us a glimpse of our main 4 characters with the addition of Ryomen Sukuna in the recent beta update to the roster.
The Gameplay
The game looks crisp and the animation looks fresh out of the oven. From what we could gather from the information on their website and the trailer, the mechanics will have a similar system to Bandai Namco’s Ultimate Ninja Storm franchise.
- Following its brother from another mother, the game’s focal offence should be its various curse techniques which could be spammed.
- It will have the skill to gather energy but would render the character immovable for a certain time.
- Hitting an offence will give you a chance to gain energy. This will fill the meter that will allow the character to dish out even more powerful attacks.
- Each character will have an ultimate move with a flashy animation.
Every character will be equipped with their set of abilities, giving birth to a variety of moves the player could use. Each character has specialized roles and will perform differently in team matches. While some will focus on defence and some will focus on debuffs, it will allow the players to have a string of combos to try against each other.
The Characters
Itadori Yuji
The protagonist of the show, Itadori Yuji, is one of the few characters the players will get access to in the first patch. He will, however, be an individual character and will not have the skill to switch to Sukuna. His skill set will include:

- Curse Energy Skill
- Divergent Fist
- Black Flash
- High Gear
Fushiguro Megumi
The deuteragonist of the show, Fushiguro Megumi, is one of the few characters the players will get access to in the first patch. His skill set will include:
- Normal Physical Attacks
- Curse Energy Skill
- Ten Shadows Technique
- Technique Interpretation
Kugisaki Nobara
The third member of the trio, Kugisaki Nobara, is one of the few characters the players will get access to in the first patch. Her skill set will include:
- Normal Physical AttacksÂ
- Curse Energy Skill
- Resonance
- Hair Pin
Gojo Satoru
Our favorite character of the show, the enigmatic sensei – Gojo Satoru, is one of the few characters the players will get access to in the first patch. His skill set will include:
- Normal Physical Attacks
- Curse Energy Skill
- Infinity: Blue
- Infinity: Red
- Infinity: Purple
Ryomen Sukuna
The King of Curses, Ryomen Sukuna, was added in the latest beta patch and will be one of the characters the players will get access to in the first patch. His skill set will include:
- Normal Physical Attacks
- Curse Energy Skill
- Cleave
- Intimidation
What certain anonymous leaks have to say about some more characters
A few more characters have been added to the beta patch and are undergoing test. Their kits have not been finalized and hence there is a lack of information surrounding them. The characters are:
- Our spectacular senior, Zen’in Maki, will make an appearance and will seem to play the role of a tanker.
- Our bonito flakes, Inumaki Toge, will make an appearance and will seem to play the role of a debuffer.
- Our besto firendo, Todo Aoi, will make an appearance and will seem to play the role of a melee attacker.
- Our favorite adult, Nanami Kento, will make an appearance and will seem to play the role of a debuffer.
- Our volcano head, Jogo, will make an appearance and will seem to play the role of a mid-range attacker.
- Our nature-friendly tree, Hanami, will make an appearance and will seem to play the role of a long-range attacker.
Expected Release?
Taking into account the process of game development and the time it demands, the game is expected to be released by the second half of 2025 or the first half of 2026. The game is still in development and might have an extended roster and mechanics at the time of release. The game at its early stage shows a lot of promise.
