The most iconic show produced by studio MADHOUSE, nobody could go wrong with this choice. The show has shaped nearly every member’s childhood in the community and continues to do so.
2. Hunter x Hunter

One of the top 5 Shounen of the community, Hunter x Hunter is an iconic show that nearly everyone who wishes to venture into a flawless show would want to pick on. Coming right after One Piece, this show has an impeccable story-telling. If that was not all, it has the best power systems among any franchise. This alone is enough to vouch for how good this show is. MADHOUSE had one heck of a time animating this show, considering how amazing everyone looked and how clean the fight sequences were.
3. No Game No Life

Sulking over the fact that there is no Season 2, this show is one of the best things you will ever watch in your anime-watching history. A show about games never felt so fresh and exciting. With all the gambles and risks in it, No Game No Life has made its way to the Hall of Fame with a bang. It was the closest we ever went to a chess anime.
4. Parasyte: The Maxim

“Aliens invading your body” troupe only gained its popularity with Parasyte. No other show had as engaging a story as it and the action sequences that followed made it a thrilling saga of a human trying to find his place in the world. This show has it all –Â Humor? check. Romance? check. Sadness? a lot of it. Happiness? there but not so much. Perfection? 100%.

One of the best psychological thrillers in anime history, Monster is one of Studio MADHOUSE’s top 3 works. A mystery series that will keep you on your toes. Every time you think you are close to solving it, BAM, a different resolution. The main antagonist also appears very less in the show, clearly demonstrating his mastermind ability to manipulate others to make his plan work. Truly a brilliant piece of work.
6. Overlord

One of the “overpowered main character” troupe’s best members, Overlord has everything an MMORPG-lover would want from an anime. From buffs to debuffs to mana management, it has all the elements that make the MMORPG genre so lovable. Bringing all of that into an anime is sure to make everyone who watches it fall in love with it, which can be seen as it received sequel after sequel due to its popularity.

It has a depth that is not perceived at first glance.

Renewing the classic series, Hellsing Ultimate is the refurbished and cleaner version of the franchise. With better animation and character designs, this show has made many of the fans return to experience the cool and chad Alucard back in action, along with his little vampire Victoria.

Nana is the most iconic show in the anime community, being able to kickstart a new generation and bring to life a new trend of fashion. The show has an engaging and brilliant story filled with drama, love, and self-reflection. The show will make you start questioning yourself, and by the time you are done watching the show, you will have come out with a new sense of confidence instilled in you.
10. Chihayafuru

The show is one of the best Josei anime in the community. Centered around Karuta, a traditional Japanese sport, the anime revolves around teen angst along with romance. It has brilliantly executed the inner workings of a teenage mind about how conflicted one becomes when they are motivated toward a goal but their loved ones obstruct their path to it. This show has subtly shown that romance can become a hindrance at times, however, it is how we deal with it that shapes up.

All the shows in the list are a brilliant mix of happy emotions and sad emotions, so this is a kind of disclaimer that one should brace themselves before they begin with any one of these. MADHOUSE has made it possible to bring forth these amazing stories in the best way possible, and no other studio could have done it any better than how they did it.
