Top 5 Shinjutsu in Boruto

Shinjutsus has completely altered the power dynamic in the shinobi world. As the progenitor of Chakra and Ninjutsu, these divine techniques are an astronomical upgrade over what we saw in Naruto both in terms of scale and effects. These godly abilities are sure to play a vital role in the narrative after the timeskip. Let’s look at the Top 5 Shinjutsu in Boruto.

Top 5 Shinjutsu in Boruto.

5. Code’s Claw Marks

Any type of space-time ability or transportation ability instantly gains tremendous value in the world of Naruto and Boruto. This is has been demonstrated time and time again, from Obito’s kamui to Sasuke’s Amenotejikara. Code’s claw marks are inherently valuable just for this reason. But what makes them truly terrifying is how easily he’s able to deploy then without even being detected.

4. Daemon’s Reflection

The concept of counters and reflection-based abilities isn’t new to anime or any form of fiction for that matter. But what makes Daemon’s version of it extremely deadly is how it’s almost always active. Not only does this ability reflect any harm-inducing action against the user, but it also will reflect the anticipated end result of the said result even if someone intends to cause harm to the user.

3. Isshiki’s Dojutsu

Isshiki’s unnamed Dojutsu happens to be one of the strongest and most versatile Dojutsu ever to be unveiled in the entire series. Functionally, it seems to be similar to the Mangekyou Sharingan minus the base Sharingan Abilities. In essence, it seems to give the user a set of abilities, presumably one for each eye. In Isshiki’s case, he possesses the Sukunahikona, an ability to shrink non-living objects or himself at will, and Daikokuten, which allows him to store anything in a timeless dimension.

2. Karma Seal

The Karma Seal basically acts as an Otsutsuki backup storage embedded in a different species. When the time is right, the dead Otsutsuki can be revived into the ‘Vessel’ by totally unpacking the Otsutsuki DNA within the seal. Up until that point, the Vessel can use the abilities provided by the Karma, like jutsu absorption. The Karma Seal is one of the most complex and narratively vital Shinjutsu in Boruto.

1. Omnipotence

Eida’s Omnipotence literally allows her to rewrite reality itself. Based on what we know so far, Omnipotence is a Shinjutsu that aims to bring a wish to reality. It was Kawaki’s wish to trade lives with Boruto and replace him as Naruto’s son, which was turned into reality when he came into contact with Eida. However, Eida herself seems to have no control over this ability.

While many of these abilities opened to mixed reactions from fans, all of these have become a core component of Boruto’s narrative, especially after the timeskip. However, the extent of the impact of such divine abilities is yet to be seen. These abilities can make or break the show depending on how they’re handled.
