Welcome to the Ballroom is a story about a young boy named Tatara Fujita who is saved from bullies by a professional ballroom dancer named Kaname Sengoku. Sengoku invites Tatara to his dance studio, and Tatara is immediately captivated by the world of competitive ballroom dancing.
Tatara begins training with Sengoku and his other students, and he quickly learns that ballroom dancing is a lot more challenging than he thought it would be. But with hard work and determination, Tatara begins to improve, and he soon finds himself competing in major tournaments.
Along the way, Tatara meets other talented dancers and one in particular catches his fancy. The azure-eyed and graceful ballroom dancer, Shizuku Hanaoka becomes entangled in the love triangle between Tatara and Gaju.
Who is Gaju and how is he a threat to Tatara?
- Gaju is a brash and impassioned dancer whose fiery personality results in him coming off as loud-mouthed and aggressive.
- He is very confrontational and often uses his imposing physique to intimidate his rivals, particularly Tatara.
And as fate may have it, he is also enamoured with the same girl, Shizuku. Gaju is extremely attracted to her and he is very upfront about his interest in “stealing” her from Kiyoharu Hyoudou, her dance partner.
Who has a better shot at winning Shizuku’s heart in Welcome to the Ballroom anime?
Gaju and Tatara are both vying for the affection of Shizuku. Gaju is a more experienced dancer, while Tatara is more passionate. It is unclear who will ultimately win Shizuku’s heart, but the energy between the two of them might suggest that Tatara may have the edge.
Firstly, Tatara and Shizuku have a natural chemistry together and have a lot more in common. They are both passionate about ballroom dancing, and they both have a strong desire to improve. They seem to understand each other on a level that Gaju does not.
Secondly, Tatara is willing to put in the hard work to be the best partner that he can be for Shizuku. He is constantly training and improving, and he is always looking for ways to make their partnership stronger.
- Gaju, on the other hand, is more focused on winning. He is willing to do whatever it takes to be the best, even if it means sacrificing his relationship with Shizuku.
- He is also more arrogant and less willing to listen to Shizuku’s needs.
In conclusion, it is up to Shizuku to decide who she wants to be with. She might also end up choosing neither of them and taking the decision to focus on her dancing career. In case that doesn’t happen, Tatara has a better chance of winning her heart because of his passion, his willingness to put in the hard work, and his understanding of her needs.
