Who will win in a fight- Toji Fushiguro or Might Guy?

Toji Fushiguro vs. Might Guy

An instant recipe for fan wars is putting Naruto and Jujutsu Kaisen in the same sentence. And today we’ll do exactly that! No, we won’t be instigating a fan war (or maybe we will, who knows) but we’ll put two similar characters from Naruto and Jujutsu Kaisen under the same bracket to see who’ll stand victorious in a fight. These characters are none other than Toji Fushiguro and Might Guy.

To battle it out between Toji and Might Guy, let’s first look at the power structure of the respective anime. While Naruto’s power structure is rooted in Chakra and Ninjutsu, for Jujutsu Kaisen it’s cursed energy and sorcery. Although both Toji and Guy are quite unskilled when it comes to these powers.

  • Guy has always been weak at using Ninjutsu, his fighting style is mainly focused on hand-to-hand combat.
  • On the other hand Toji is the only known person in the world of Jujutsu Kaisen who doesn’t possess any cursed energy. Making this match-up all the more interesting to follow.

The primary ability that stands out in both these characters is their physical abilities.

  • While Might Guy’s training methods were a gag for the most part in Naruto, they were fearful to us mere mortal beings. That Guy (pun intended) trained himself every chance he’d get. He trained his body enough to be able to withstand the damage up till the seventh gate out of the Eight Inner Gates technique.
  • When it comes to Toji, his physical abilities are monstrous in every sense of the word. He fought both Gojo and Geto back to back who were known to be some of the strongest characters at the time. He is a master of close-ranged battles, further aided by his combat experience and knowledge. All his senses are sharp helping him react in time during fights.

  • Other than physical abilities, Toji is a masterful user of weapons. He can use multiple weapons. This helps him in fighting opponents from a distance as we’ve seen during the fight against Geto.
  • At last Might Guy’s Eight Inner Gates are the biggest threat when it comes to fights. Might Guy unlock the full potential of his body by unlocking the chakra gates. Immense training is required to be able to open up the chakra gates.

For Toji, his fight against Gojo was a good trailer for what he’s capable of. Toji doesn’t mind playing dirty in fights. The way he drove Gojo to exhaustion before attacking him is a good example of this. Similar to how the Spiel Anime Newsletter is the perfect example of the most interesting and fun read for the cultured fans of anime. It comes out twice every week with all things anime.

Back to Toji, It can be said that he believes in working smart and planning before his fights. He couldn’t be more different from Guy in this respect. Might Guy is reliable when it comes to fights. His best fight was his fight against Madara. He unlocked his true and full potential to battle it out with Uchiha Madara.

Onto the main event, the fight! In a physical fight without the Eight Gates and weapons both the characters will make each other bleed with grave injuries. Toji might even have an edge (the edge of his weapons and his edgy son) here, but if the fight goes on too long, Might Guy has a huge amount of stamina to sustain himself for days.

Now in a full-fledged battle with all their abilities at their disposal. Toji would give Might Guy a hard time. As he can fight from both long and short ranges. He can use several weapons to inflict damage upon his opponent before Guy resorts to his final attacks.

The moment Guy starts to unleash the Eight Inner Gates, he’ll start overpowering Toji with every subsequent gate. He’ll be able to fight Guy up till the 6th gate but that’s as far as it’ll get. With the first six gates, Guy amplifies the speed and power of his punches and other physical attacks. Toji can dodge these attacks or mitigate their blow by moving at a rapid pace as he’s quite agile himself.

From the seventh gate onwards, Guy doesn’t only amplify the speed and effects but can change the range of his attacks as well. Making it hard to dodge or avoid them, even for Toji.

Conclusion – Who will win?

With that, in a fight between Toji Fushiguro and Might Guy, the latter will stand victorious. This might be a result of the difference in the power structures of Naruto and Jujutsu Kaisen. Might Guy was fighting god-like characters with the power of beasts at the end of the series. He’s at a different level altogether. Although there’s no defeating Toji when it comes to raising a child, oh wait-
