After the release of the first season, the one question on everyone’s minds is “When will One Piece Season 2 be released?”

The One Piece live-action is based on the popular manga series of the same name, which has been serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine since 1997. The series follows the adventures of Monkey D. Luffy, a young man who dreams of becoming the Pirate King. Luffy sets out on a journey to find the One Piece, a legendary treasure that will make him the Pirate King.

The live-action adaptation was created by Tomorrow Studios, the same production company behind the Netflix adaptation of Cowboy Bebop. The show is directed by Steven Maeda and Matt Owens, and it stars Mackenyu as Monkey D. Luffy, Emily Rudd as Nami, Jacob Romero Gibson as Usopp, and Taz Skylar as Sanji and has been topping charts since its release.

Speaking with Variety after One Piece set up season 2, Marty Adelstein teased the next chapter of Luffy’s journey. The CEO revealed that an early version of One Piece season 2’s scripts had already been written ahead of the Netflix series’ release, with Tomorrow Studios president Becky Clements stating season 2 could be ready for release between a year and eighteen months, once both the ongoing WGA and SAGAFTRA strikes had been resolved.

What will One Piece Season 2 be about?

The live-action One Piece season 2 would follow the events from the first, which covered the manga’s East Blue Saga. In this season, Monkey D. Luffy has sworn to become a great pirate, and he meets Koby and confronts the pirate Alvida. He also battles Marine Captain Morgan and joins forces with Pirate Hunter Roronoa Zoro, and they become crewmates.

By the end of season 1, Luffy achieves one dream with his own wanted poster and sets sail with the Straw Hats with other pirates vowing to hunt them down. One Piece season 2 follows the next arc in the Straw Hats journey, the Arabasta Saga, and promises to be just as intense and action-packed as the first.

The Arabasta Saga is the fifth major story arc in the anime and manga series One Piece. It takes place after the Enies Lobby Arc and before the Water 7 Arc. The arc is 49 episodes long in the anime and 192 chapters long in the manga which is enough source material for One Piece season 2.

The arc begins with the Straw Hat Pirates arriving in the desert kingdom of Arabasta. They are quickly caught up in the civil war that is raging between the kingdom’s ruler, Nefertari Vivi, and the rebel army led by Crocodile. Crocodile is a former Shichibukai, a group of powerful pirates who are allied with the World Government. He is also the leader of Baroque Works, a criminal organization that is trying to take over Arabasta.

The Straw Hats team up with Vivi and her allies to stop Crocodile and Baroque Works. Along the way, they learn more about the history of Arabasta and the secrets that Crocodile is hiding. The arc culminates in a battle between the Straw Hats and Crocodile, in which the Straw Hats emerge victorious.

Conclusion

The second season of One Piece live action has the potential to be as famous as the first if the show stays true to the source material and consistently delivers exciting and engaging stories. It is sure to be a hit with fans and critics alike, yet again.
