Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 236 was expected to introduce an entirely different arc after the defeat of Sukuna. However, the recent Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 236 leaks have confirmed an entirely counter-narrative altogether, proving to the fans that their favorite sorcerer Satoru Gojo might’ve possibly met his end. This comes after a heart-wrenching battle and a soul-breaking conversation, which ultimately shows the bleeding sorcerer in a cold layer of concrete, an uncertain death impending as the clock ticks away.
Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 236 leaks: a timeline of the events in the Gojo vs. Sukuna battle
The JJK 236 leaks have proved to create a timeline of the entire set of events that unfold in Gojo’s battle against Sukuna and the aftermath of it. We saw in the previous chapter that Gojo used his Black Flash against Sukuna to fully replenish his Cursed Energy Reserve.
- He further goes on to shoot a Reversal: Red to collide with the Lapse: Blue, emitting a Hollow Purple.
- This attack entirely took out Mahoraga and injured Sukuna heavily, confirming that Gojo has ultimately emerged as the champion.
However, Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 236 begins with Gojo in an illusory dream where he meets Geto, his cherished best friend, again. After a casual chit-chat and a nostalgic revisit of the past, Gojo ultimately agrees that during the battle against Sukuna, he was surprised by the strength of the King of Curses. He thinks that Sukuna might’ve won even though the latter didn’t use Megumi’s Cursed Technique or even his full strength.
Gojo goes on into a monologue that describes his regret and his satisfaction, one where Nanami, Haibara, Yaga, Riko, and Kuroi also join in. However, it all ends when he finally bids farewell and it is revealed that the conversation was actually taking place in an airport waiting room. JJK 236 leaks finally reveal Gojo’s body lying in the concrete in Shinjuku, which instigates the presumption that he might finally die.
Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 236: Gojo’s monologue and Nanami’s intervention
The Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 236 leaks show how Gojo gets into a monologue and starts to explain how strong Sukuna was. Did Gojo die in the hands of the King of Curses?
- This has time and again been questioned during this monologue as he goes on to regret that while he invested all of his strength in this battle, Sukuna easily emerged victorious.
- He also laments the fact that his opponent couldn’t enjoy the battle as much as he did and says that he is glad that someone stronger than him became his end.
However, Nanami’s intervention in the sequence comes as a surprise. He mocks Gojo for talking like a Samurai general and Haibara joins in with Nanami. Nanami also says that even though he doesn’t support the cause of Gojo’s death, he feels sympathy for his dear friend.
Did Gojo die in Jujutsu Kaisen manga?
The death of Gojo according to the JJK manga leaks has been left in an ambiguous manner. Whether the charming sorcerer would actually die is nothing more than an assumption at this point. Moreover, it has happened before that Gojo Satoru was killed and he managed to return from the dead using his Cursed Technique Reversal. This makes the entire theme of death related to this character an entirely uncertain matter filled with ambiguity.

Whether Satoru Gojo is dead or not can only be revealed with time as we progress in the story. Although it means that the risk of losing out on a proper and resolute ending is high, it can also be considered that the sorcerer might also rise back from the dead in an interesting plot twist. The possibilities are high and inexhaustible, making the death of Gojo a matter of disposition for only the story to undertake.
The Jujutsu Kaisen manga has revealed the death of Gojo in a very peculiar manner. It doesn’t exactly say if he dies but instead gives the reader a scope of imagination that is directed toward the dark of a gruesome battle. While Sukuna must be stopped and it is only in the hands of Gojo, it will be interesting to see whether Gojo died in the battle against Sukuna
