Eminence in Shadow is back with a PV for season 2 hinting at what to expect. The first season ended with making Eminence in Shadow a prominent title in the Isekai genre. The new season was announced back in February 2023 during a live stream event and the PV dropped on 29th May, the edgy Isekai returns with new characters and the fan-favorite arc. Here’s a breakdown of everything we know so far about the PV release.
The Storyline of Eminence in Shadow
Eminence in Shadow is an Isekai anime about Cid, who gets reincarnated into a world of magic after dying in a classic truck Kun moment. Through his Reincarnation, he gets to fulfill his dream of asserting dominance and using his power to become a mastermind manipulator who carries all of this out from behind the shadows.
- He saves a girl and fools her into thinking that the world is run by a cult and only the Shadow Garden can defeat the cult.
- The girl, named Alpha joins the shadow garden and recruits new members for the same. But this lie told by Cid is a reality unknown to Cid. He’s oblivious to everything happening around him and thinks of it as a roleplaying game.
Season 2: What do we know so far
Eminence in Shadow Season 2 will come out in October 2023. We’ll find the shadow garden and Cid in the Lawless City. The Blood Queen is about to wake up from her slumber in her coffin with very little time left. Cid wants to have an encounter with the strongest vampire which will inevitably land him in trouble.
The new season will have 12 episodes adapting volume 3. There’s no confirmation as to how much but depending upon the first season which featured two volumes with 20 episodes, we can expect similar pacing with season 2.
The PV is a treat itself giving us a quick introduction to some new characters and accompanying it, the thrilling music. We get a glimpse of the oblivious Cid taking up a new challenge and attracting enemies as Shadow. The PV doesn’t show much of the lawless city which we saw previously in the teaser visual. The visual of the city looked beautiful. The PV shows four new characters:
- Juggernaut voice by Tsuyoshi Koyama
- Yukime voiced by Shizuka Ito
- Vampire Hunter Mary by Ai Kakuma
- Tomokazu Sugita voicing Crimson
Where to watch Eminence of Shadow Season 2?
The anime will be available to watch on HIDIVE for international viewers. Many Japanese TV networks will also broadcast Season 2 of the anime.
Conclusion
Season 1 was focusing a lot more on the fun element with the effortless execution of the edgy comedy, season 2 will get really good with a lot to watch out for as the setup is already done with the first season. Cid is oblivious to the fact that the roleplaying game he’s playing is real. He’s excitedly looking forward to what’s up next and so are we with the upcoming season 2.
