Nagi and Reo Break-up: Blue Lock Chapter 245 hints at a new awakening

Nagi and Reo Breakup

Seishiro Nagi instantly became a fan favourite with his first appearance in Blue Lock manga. From the moment he teamed up with Isagi during the selections, we all expected his graph to show an upwards growth. That’s what happened until he went back to Reo. While the two characters might be great friends, they have not been the best for each other on the field.

Nagi has been facing consecutive losses in the Neo-Egotist league. The upcoming chapter might put at an end to the losing streak. Blue Lock Chapter 245 spoilers hint at events that might lead to a break-up between Reo and Nagi.

The chapter begins with the match between England and Italy.

  • Nagi gracefully heads to the goal only to be disrupted by Lorenzo. Reo asks him to focus solely on the goal and nothing else.
  • As the ball is about to hit the goal, Aiku gets in the way and stops it. He questions Nagi and his genius abilities.
  • Before Nagi could react, Barou starts heading towards the goal. An interruption by Chigiri stops him in his tracks, only for Sendou to score the last goal for Ubers. With Sendou’s goal, Ubers stand victorious at the end of Match 8.

After the match Agi calls out the relationship between Reo and Nagi. Highlighting the need for them to grow individually. Not only Agi, but Barou also challenges Nagi’s ego and motivation behind his fight to be the best.

We also see Nagi asking Barou about his driving force. He asked Rin a similar question in the previous match. There’s a slight chance that he is aware of how his playing style and performance has been pretty bad lately. Whenever he plays with Reo, he is only expected to score the goal. He’s not held responsible when it comes to leading the ball there. On the other hand there has been no updation on Reo’s playing style after his first few matches.

While Reo and Nagi were quite disappoiniting, Chigiri has undergone tremendous growth. He has become the face of Manshine City with his speed. He appears out of nowhere in times of need.

Shidou scores the winning goal for PXG

The chapter ends with Shidou scoring a winning goal for PXG against Barcha. Isagi gets fired up as he’ll get to play against Shidou in the next match. He’ll not only face Shidou but Rin and Shidou together.

The way Loki has been strategising the moves of PXG, we might not get to see the three of them on the field at once. Rin and Shidou will probably take turns to face Isagi. Although the tension will reach new heights if Isagi has to take on both of them at the same time.

Conclusion

Blue Lock is living upto it’s acronym with the drama between Reo and Nagi. Reo is turning out to be the manipulative ex that Nagi keeps going back to. On a more serious note, we would not have Seishiro Nagi without Reo. They’ve been very significant to each other’s journey so far in Blue Lock, so they can also learn to grow together (probably).
