Jujutsu Kaisen has shown us time and again that no side characters should be ignored, as they slowly turn out to become a decisive force in the story. Especially now when there are only the side characters who stand against the King of Curses. Hence, in this article, I will be focusing on the 5 Jujutsu Kaisen characters who should receive their own show.
Top 5 Jujutsu Kaisen Characters Who Deserve Their Own Shows
5. Yaga Masamichi
Yaga is the Principal of Tokyo Jujutsu High and a Grade 1 Jujutsu Sorcerer. He was a second-year teacher to Gojo Satoru, Geto Suguru, and Ieri Shouko. He was someone the higher-ups of the Jujutsu World were highly afraid of. So much so that they were very close to promoting him to a Special Grade and restricting him with impositions. His proficiency with Cursed Corpses because of Puppet Sorcery was so high that he could develop fully independent cursed corpses capable of sustaining their own cursed energy.
This makes him a very important character in the story, someone who is powerful enough to shake the Jujutsu World. This makes a prime character whose story would be very interesting to go into. Was he always a person who stayed out of trouble and obedient or was he forced into it?
4. Fushiguro Toji
Toji is a former member of the Zeni’n Clan and is known as the Sorcerer Killer. He was responsible for killing the Star Plasma vessel for Master Tengen and was the first person to kill Gojo Satoru. He was born with Heavenly Restriction, which made him incapable of using Cursed Energy, however, in return, he receives exceptional physical prowess far surpassing a normal human. He is the father of Fushiguro Megumi, who loves summoning his sacred treasure.
Toji’s past before his wife has been a complete mystery, only being stated as an assassin who kills Sorcerers. Getting to know who he was before meeting his Fushiguro love, and having more insight of how she was able to wow him into puppy submission would be a fun show to watch. Especially the time during Megumi’s birth and his interaction with the Zeni’n Clan.
3. Sukuna
The King of Curses, Sukuna, does not need any introduction. We all know who he is and what he has done throughout the story. He is a complete menace in the story and currently, no one can defeat him. He has reigned as the supreme curse and as the strongest sorcerer of all time. His backstory has not been revealed and it is an evergrowing mystery of who he is and where he came from.
As such, a show exploring his past before he became the strongest sorcerer and his traumatic past as a human would be very enlightening for the viewers. A peek into why he gave up love and companionship for absolute strength, a peek into what makes him the GOAT.
2. Kenjaku
Kenjaku is a curse user who has lived for thousands of years using his innate technique, which allows him to transplant his brain into other corpses to control them and use their cursed techniques. Over the years, he has been known by many names:
- Kamo Noritoshi, the blight of the Kamo clan who created the Cursed Womb: Death Paintings.
- Itadori Kaori, the mother of Itadori Yuji.
- Geto Suguru.
It would be amazing for the Lore to get an in-depth season exploring who Kenjaku really is and what motivates him for this entire facade. It would be another loophole filled of the story.
1. Tengen
Master Tengen is an immortal jujutsu sorcerer who remains within the Tomb of the Star Corridor, maintaining the veil between Cursed Spirits and the Non-Jujutsu Sorcerers. They were responsible for preaching the foundations of Jujutsu Sorcery. He is the sole individual responsible for the circumstances the Jujutsu Sorcerers have found themselves in. He is also related to Kenjaku, which makes him a key component of the story, besides his immediate reason for existence.
Hence, a story exploring how the individual began their journey and became who they are now would be a central lore for Jujutsu Kaisen. It would open doors to many mysteries of the story, allowing us to understand the techniques that exist.
Conclusion
