The Weekly Jump is the home to some of the most famous Shonen titles at present. Every year the magazine goes on four scheduled breaks throughout the year, for New Year’s, Golden Week, Obon, and Christmas. It’s about time for the magazine to go on its 3rd scheduled break of the year.
Currently, the magazine is serializing over 22 manga every week with occasional one-shots. While these breaks are necessary, they also mean that the fans will have to wait for some time before they can read the new chapters of their favorite series. All the series, including One Piece and Jujutsu Kaisen, will go on a week-long break with the magazine.Â
Weekly Jump Issue #38
After the break, Weekly Jump will resume the serialization with the 38th issue of the year 2023. The series will also make a comeback with their respective chapters. Hunter x Hunter and Ruri Dragon are on a hiatus so we probably won’t get new chapters for a while for them. The 38th issue will consist of the following titles:
- Akane Banashi chapter 74Â
- One Piece chapter 1090Â
- Sakamoto Days chapter 131Â
- Black Clover chapter 368Â
- Blue Box chapter 113Â
- Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 232Â
- Martial Master Asumi chapter 9Â
- Witch watch chapter 121 Â
- My Hero Academia chapter 397Â
- Kill Blue chapter 17Â
- The Elusive Samurai chapter 122Â
- Mission Yozakura Family chapter 190Â
- Nue’s Excorcist chapter 14Â
- Undead Unluck chapter 171Â
- The Ichinose Family’s Deadly Sins chapter 37Â
- Ice Head Gill chapter 8Â
- Tenmaku Cinema chapter 18Â
- Me and Robocco chapter 149Â
- Cipher Academy chapter 36Â
- Fabricant 100 chapter 34
- Do Retry chapter 15Â
Post Break Release date of all the series
All the series will release new chapters on August 20th, 8:30 pm. The magazine will be available a day later, on August 21. Fans can read the chapters for free on the Manga Plus app. The issue preceding this one was a double issue. Double issues are published when a break comes up.
Will the Jump Plus titles go on a break as well?
Some manga are released weekly exclusively on the app, hence the name Jump Plus. These titles also include Spy x Family. As Weekly Jump goes on break, it doesn’t seem like the Jump Plus titles will be going on breaks as well. They’ll resume the serialization as usual.
ConclusionÂ
The job of a mangaka is infamous for being hectic and brutal on their health. This makes the breaks an absolute necessity. They also give the creators some much-needed time with their family. Waiting for your favorite series can indeed be grueling but should not come at the cost of the creator’s worsening health.Â
With that said, the famous titles in the magazine are heating up with interesting developments. Asta’s return has made the battle against Lucius full of possibilities in Black Clover; whereas One Piece and Sakamoto Days have returned to their usual temperament after some intriguing turn of events. When the break comes to an end on August 20th we’ll be able to join back our Shonen MCs.
