Tokyo Revengers Tenjiku Arc: Release date + Everything we know so far

Getting two seasons of an anime within the same year is a dream, well not for Tokyo Revengers fans. As Tokyo Revengers Tenjiku Arc is all set for a Fall release. This year in January, the Christmas Showdown arc aired as well. The last episode of that arc led us to the Tenjiku Arc in the manga. It starts at chapter 123, ending as one of the longest arcs with more than 60 chapters. 

The anime will pick the story from where the Christmas Showdown left off. To stay updated with what happens next, you’ll need to catch the Tenjiku Arc in time. So here’s the release date, timings, and streaming platforms along with some additional information. 

Tokyo Revengers Tenjiku Arc Release Date

Tokyo Revengers Tenjiku Arc will be released on Wednesday, October 4th at midnight. In Japan, the upcoming season will be broadcast on TV Tokyo, MBS, and AT-X channels. The first episode will become available to watch on Disney Plus at around 3:00 a.m. JST worldwide.

Disney Plus has officially confirmed to be the streaming platform for Tenjiku Arc. Previous arcs streamed on Hulu and Crunchyroll as well. We’re yet to get a confirmation for the Tenjiku Arc. 

Everything we know so far about the Tenjiku Arc

  • There’ll be new members joining the cast namely Nobunaga Shimazaki as Izana Kurokawa, Tetsu Inada as Kanji Mochizuki, Hiro Shimono as Rindo Haitani, Kouki Uchiyama as Shion Madarame, and Seiichiro Yamashita as Kakucho. 
  • The studio at the helm of the animation production is Liden Films. 
  • The opening theme of the upcoming arc will be ‘Say My Name’ by HEY-SMITH. 
  • There have been no updates as to how many episodes will be in the Tenjiku Arc but considering the number of chapters it will be more than what we’ve seen in the Christmas Showdown. 

Tokyo Revengers: The Story so far

Naoto informs Takemichi about Mikey’s killings. During their meeting, Mikey asks Takemichi to kill him. Takemichi tries to talk him down but to no avail. Witnessing the tension, Naoto shoots Mikey and he dies in Takemichi’s arms. Takemichi decides to take over the Tokyo Manji gang, to avoid the same future again. Following this decision, comes an attack from the Tenjiku Gang. 

Things start to heat up as Takemichi finds out that Kisaki is part of the gang as well. Adding to the fire is the leader of Tenjiku, Izana Kurokawa. The last episode of Christmas Showdown teased the Tenjiku Arc extremely well. After Mikey’s death and Toman falling apart, Takemichi is once again ready to switch up the turn of events to save his friend.

Tokyo Revengers anime enjoys a widespread fanbase. With a huge fanbase comes a heavy set of expectations to fulfill. Tokyo Revengers is no different as fans voice their concern about the animation quality of the upcoming season.

Tenjiku Arc easily ranks among the best arcs of the series, which makes the need for top-notch animation all the more necessary. Hopefully, the visuals will keep up with the thrilling twists that are about to unfold in the story.
