Jobless Reincarnation New Trailer Breakdown

Jobless Reincarnation New Trailer Breakdown

Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation remains among the best Isekai anime ever made with its world-building and portrayal of emotions. The anime is ready to give us more of everything we love about Jobless Reincarnation with the upcoming season which is ready to set out on July 2nd, 2023. A new trailer teases a lot about what’s coming up in the next season.

We see the first season end with Eris leaving Rudeus behind. Eris gets to know about her family’s demise right before she decides to embark on a journey without Rudeus. The second season is likely to follow up the story from where it ended. Rudeus goes to the northern region to look for Zenith. Let’s break down the trailer into pieces to align our expectations with what’s coming our way in season 2.

Rudeus hasn’t recovered from Eris leaving him, he’s yet to come to terms with the fact that he’s on his own now. Throughout the trailer we see him struggling with it and revisiting his days with Eris. Rudeus becomes a part of a new company which he’ll cover his adventures with.

We can also see that Rudeus looks a bit more grown. He sets on a journey to find his mother. This keeps him going despite everything wrong going on with his life. Rudeus is trying to do his best with this second chance he got at life.

The fight scenes kicks in the adrenaline, they’re visually exciting and show that Rudeus still got his magic under control. From the looks of it, Season 2 seems to be a bit sadder.

We also get to hear snippets of the opening and the ending theme. The opening theme is very different from that of season 1. It’s Spiral’ by LONGMAN for the opening and the ending by Yuiko Ohara. The same artist did the ending theme of season 1.

Jobless Reincarnation Season 2 Cast

  • There’s some doubt regarding the animation with the changes in the production team while the Studio remains the same. The Assistant Director of the previous season Hiroki Hirano has taken up as the Director.
  • The person in charge of character design has also changed to Maye Shimada for the upcoming season. Even in the trailer, it can be seen that some frames are choppy.

With so many changes in the production team, we can expect some significant changes to the anime visually.

Characters

We also see an elf girl with grey hair and shades on, she could be Sylphy, or maybe not. If Sylphy is back for real and now Eris is in the mix, what should we expect from the long-awaited union of Rudeus and Sylphy? We are getting to see a lot of Elinaise in the trailer so that’s something to look forward to.

There are some other new characters as well. We get to see plenty of Sara in the PV who’ll be voiced by Haruka Shiraishi. The character seems significant to Rudeus’ story.

There are speculations that there’ll be more than 24 Episodes in Jobless Reincarnation Season 2. The first season covered around 6 Volumes in 24 Episodes, so if we’re going from  Volume 7 to Volume 12 in Season 2, it’s safe to assume that there’ll be at least 24 episodes in the next season.

Conclusion

Just one month away from the season release, the trailer made sure to accelerate the hype. The hype is beyond real for Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation. You can go for a rewatch of season 1 or watch it if you haven’t already because season 2 looks like the perfect recipe to blow your minds out.
