No Longer Allowed In Another World Anime release date revealed in 2024 along with trailer

KADOKAWA’s latest announcement of the anime adaptation of No Longer Allowed in Another World or Isekai Shikkaku by Hiroshi Noda might have typical Isekai fans going in for a rather unconventional ride.

Alongside a trailer and key visual that treats the audience of what is to come with Dazai Osamu – the main protagonist. The Anime is scheduled for July 2024.  As of now, it is not confirmed how many episodes the Anime will be spanning. Seven Seas Entertainment had earlier announced the English translation of this Japanese manga, so those from overseas wishing to dive right into it even prior to the release of the Anime are welcome to do so.

No Longer Allowed in Another World Anime ought to be a little different:

Before one becomes nostalgic about Bungou Stray Dogs with the familiar name Dazai, it helps for us to notify you that the protagonist of the upcoming No Longer Allowed in Another World Anime is more of a Carl Jung callabout. Why Jung? It’s because of the stark obsession of both the said individuals, one fictional and another real, with death.

If anything, Osamu Dazai wants to drop dead as soon as possible. Call it overbearing nihilism or just a hopeless longing for eternal rest – this fella from 1945 will be in for a ride when he is Isekai-d to another world.

A deviation from your usual Isekai plot?

A hint of the isekai world in which the protagonist is transferred to

Usually, the grandeur of isekai is reserved for the modern kin of hikikomori or pro-gamers, or any Japanese fellow who’s moderately shut-in. Take any single famous Isekai for example, be it Subaru from Re: Zero, the siblings from No Game No Life, or Naofumi from Rising of The Shield, everyone always is a shut-in/non-decorated member of the previous Japanese society. Yet this modern enigma is about to be twisted to its core in No Longer Allowed in Another World Anime. The protagonist belongs to an era slightly before ours.

No Longer Allowed in Another World Anime Preview trailer takeaways:

Key takeaways from the preview trailer seem quite self-explanatory.

Dazai seems to be a person from the 1940s who’s about to commit suicide, but just on the precipice of such a move his death instead leads him to another world. One notable aspect here is the trailer showing Truck-kun or at least a car-kun, which is beyond me as it seemed Dazai was committing suicide from the scenes just prior in the trailer.

But it seems prior to actually committing the death ritual with red strings, symbolizing the string of fate that connects two deeply involved individuals, usually couples, the two are hit and run-in by a car.

Then goes the typical isekai premise, ‘Oh adventurer you have been called forth by our talented magicians to save this world from impending doom’.The trailer further goes to give us more hints on what kind of a person Dazai actually is – unmotivated, willing to drop dead at the earliest, and quite uneager to help a fantasy girl being handled by tentacles.
