Top 5 Naruto Plot Holes that Could be fixed in Boruto Part 2

The sheer impact Naruto had on the anime community is something that no one can refute or disagree with, regardless of what they feel about the series. Even though it was an extremely popular shounen and one of the icons that define the term ‘Anime’, Naruto came with its fair share of plot holes and inconsistencies. Let’s look at the Top 5 Naruto Plot Holes that Could be fixed in Boruto Part 2.

5. Other Sage Modes

The most prominently used Sage Mode in Naruto is the Toad Sage taught by the Toads of Mount Myobuku. This ability is utilized by both Naruto Uzumaki and Jiraya. However, we also know that other forms of Sage Modes exist.

Hashirama had a Sage Mode which had a different pattern than the Toad Sage mode and Orochimaru mentioned how he had failed to gain the Snake Sage mode. Given the increased threat levels in the Boruto series, we might be able to see these other Sage Modes in the future.

4. Fugaku’s Mangekyou Sharingan

Although we never saw him reveal his full potential, Fuguaku does indeed have a Mangekyou Sharingan. It was implied that Obito collected all the Sharingan after the massacre which probably ended up with Orochimaru by the end of the series. However, Itachit wouldn’t just hand over his father’s Sharingan just like that.

Fugaku was known as the “Wicked Eye”, which means his Mangekyou must’ve had quite a dangerous ability, which might get addressed in the Boruto anime.

3. Sasuke’s Second Rinnegan

Throughout the series, Sasuke’s ocular powers evolved at a much faster rate than any other Uchiha, due to his repeatedly going through traumatizing events and emotional situations. The pinnacle of an Uchiha’s ocular powers is said to be the Rinnegan. While Madara awakened Rinnegan in both his eyes, Sasuke only got one.

Sasuke’s Rinnegan also has a distinct pattern to it, which was never addressed. Additionally, Sasuke’s Mangekyou had an inverted color scheme. These mysteries about Sasuke’s eyes might be explored in the Boruto anime.

2. Madara’s Mangekyou Ability

Following the Mangekyou theme, next, we have Madara’s Mangekyou Sharingan. Unlike the rest of the prominent Uchiha, we never got to see what his Mangekyou abilities were, even though we saw him use his Mangekyou and Susanoo, quite a lot. One possibility is that Madara had a non-combat-oriented or support-type ability, and hence chose not to use it.

1. Hashirama’s Death

Hashirama Senju was hailed as the God of Shinobi and was practically a living legend. His only known rival was Madara Uchiha, a name that often is enough to make even the strongest of shinobis tremble. Such a phenomenal Shinobi apparently just ‘died’, which is quite questionable.

Who was strong enough to take down the God of Shinobi? Was it a disease? Was it old age? These questions could be answered in Boruto Part 2.

Conclusion

The Naruto series is no stranger to plot holes. While some of the prominent plot holes might be way too intricate to address, the ones above can really be turned into plot points to ensure that Boruto Part 2 has a more fleshed-out plot. For more such lists, stay with Spiel Anime.
