One last part, one last volume. Attack on Titan is one of those dystopian society series that grabbed everyone’s attention since picking the first volume. Both new and long-time fans of the series know fully well the ruthless battlefields the story takes place. But will Eren come back in AOT New Manga? Can we get a new ending to the story? Let’s find out.
The journey of Attack on Titan has been a beautiful one. Although the manga finished in 2021, the anime adaptation is set to wrap up this November. Hajime Isayama, the brilliant mind behind the story, dropped a surprising bombshell. He’s provided fans with a fresh reason to celebrate through his latest work, “Bad Boy.”
But the question is, will this give us another end to our beloved series?
New AOT Manga: Release date + What is it about?
- The news came out on October 2, 2023, and it revealed that Volume 35 of the Attack on Titan series, scheduled for release on April 30, 2024, will include an extra 18-page chapter and an art book.
- “Bad Boy” will be a bonus manga chapter set in the same universe but with new stories and intriguing characters. This manga will be included in Volume 35, along with the highly anticipated art book.
Isayama has also shared that he will be providing the outlines for all his color illustrations and is collaborating with a skilled illustrator to bring his vision to life in the art book. This ensures fans will enjoy top-notch visuals (just as Spiel Anime does every Monday with its insightful Anime Newsletter) and we’re eagerly waiting for this new creation by Isayama.
Will Eren come back in AOT New manga? Will there be a new ending?
At first, there were rumors that this new content might offer an alternative ending to the series. However, Isayama’s official statement clarified what the surprise actually is.
Although many fans were dissatisfied with the conclusion of this widely-loved manga, Isayama has no plans to create an alternative ending for the story. Despite the rumors, “Bad Boy” is not an effort to change how Attack on Titan ended.
The story concluded on a note of hope, with characters like Mikasa and Armin promising to build a peaceful future for the Eldians and humanity as a whole. So no, we will not see Eren come back again.

Can Eren ever come back to life?
This question has been on everyone’s mind lately, and I regret to say that the answer is a definite “NO.” Eren will not come back to life. There are no indications of resurrection after his death in the finale.
- In a heart-wrenching farewell, Mikasa beheaded Eren and brought his head to Armin, and they mourned his loss together.
- When Mikasa visited Eren’s gravesite, which was under the same tree where he used to nap as a child, we all could only imagine the immense sadness in her heart and the yearning she had for his return.
Attack on Titan has achieved remarkable success, selling more than 100 million copies, which places it among the best-selling manga series ever. Additionally, there’s also a fun chibi spin-off called Attack on Titan: Junior High, which we recommended having a look at.
