Attack on Titan is now back to dominating viewer charts with the release of its grand finale and reinstating itself as one of the most popular anime series ever. It’s not been long since the final few episodes were released but fans have already been eagerly awaiting news of a sequel to Attack on Titan. While there has been no official confirmation, Hajime Isayama has ruled out an immediate sequel but promises to revisit the series in 2024 through an art book.

So what fate awaits the Attack on Titan franchise now?
While we have no confirmation for a sequel, Hajime-san is all set to grace the fans with yet another masterpiece in the meantime: an art book titled ‘Fly.’ This upcoming release, eagerly awaited by fans worldwide, is expected to offer a unique and intimate look into Isayama’s creative world.
Some fans think this could be a new sequel that picks up where a mysterious ending manga panel left off. Others are hoping that this will be a prequel that dives more into the great Titan War that the anime and manga have frequently talked about.
One piece of news is that Shingeki Fly contains all of the symbolism that speaks to Eren’s existence across multiple universes of AOT, as he is represented by a bird, and Mikasa’s involvement in an alternate universe, as she is represented by a butterfly. The most recent AOT ending song (“Under the Tree”) solidifies this concept further, as it appears to make mention of Eren (bird), Mikasa (butterfly), and the red scarf that binds them together.
“A bird, a butterfly, and my red scarf. Don’t make a mess of memories”

Fan support for a sequel to Attack on Titan
What a satisfying end to a decade long journey. But am I the only one who is interested to see Hajime Isayama #AttackOnTitan do a sequel of what we see after the credits?
