Sukuna finds himself in trouble in Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 250: Will Yuta and Yuji succeed in their plan?

Yuta, Rika, and Yuji vs. Sukuna in Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 250

Sukuna has been an invisible force throughout the series, however, with Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 250 spoilers out on the internet, the tides have turned. With his previous host showing who’s the real protagonist of the show, things are looking quite dire for the King of Curses. But, considering it’s Gege, is it really this simple?

We have seen how easily Sukuna won in his match against Gojo, even when he was on the brink of death. Having such a precedence, fans can never really predict who the winner would be. One moment Yuta’s unequivocal love triumphs Sukuna over and the next moment, we might see Yuta on a playing ground talking with Rika, reminiscing about his life.

There are countless factors that we have to consider if we would like to predict a winner, such as:

  • How quickly can Yuji diminish Sukuna’s soul’s grasp over Megumi’s body?
  • How long can Yuta continue his offense since it takes a considerable amount of Cursed Energy to maintain a Domain Expansion?
  • How long does it take for Sukuna to regain his facility to use Reverse Cursed Technique and Domain Expansion?
  • Whether Sukuna has an “Ah the anti-soul punch and anti-copy technique that I haven’t used since the Heian Era” moment.

In this article, we’ll go over everything that has happened so far in the manga and try to factor in these reasons to predict who will emerge victorious in this Jujutsu Kaisen. A disclaimer, everything here is theoretical and the end result will always be determined by the author, Gege, who loves to torture his characters [cue in You’re My Specialz soundtrack].

Things are looking quite dire for the King of Curses with full frontal attacks from Yuta, Rika, and Yuji. While Yuta and Rika consistently blast Sukuna with their attacks, not giving him a shred of time to counter or use his offensive techniques besides Hollow Wicker Basket to negate the domain’s sure-hit attacks, Yuji continues to punch dealing damage to Sukuna’s Soul.

Sukuna might have dealt with them easily on a one-on-one, however, the tag team offense from the two most important characters in the series has taken a heavy hit on his chances of victory. While Yuji individually isn’t much of a threat, Yuta has given him the chance to sneak in punches that hit the barrier between Sukuna and Megumi’s soul. This results in Sukuna’s soul losing control over his host body and gradually being unable to produce much Cursed Energy.

What it basically means is that Yuji’s attacks override Sukuna’s control over Megumi’s body by forcefully pushing him back and bringing back Megumi’s soul that was submerged during the Ritual of Bath. This reduces the amount of Cursed Energy he could output, which they will drive to the point that even maintaining Hollow Wicker Basket becomes tenuous for him.

At this point, Yuta will use Angel’s Cursed Technique Jacob’s Ladder to destroy the cursed object within Megumi’s body, kicking out Sukuna for good. This would mean the end of the King of Curses.

But will the plan succeed?

Although quite an effective plan, there are chances that this would fail. Here I would like to bring back the factors I stated at the beginning of the article.

Yuji vs. Sukuna in Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 250 Spoilers

  • Yuji’s attacks are quite effective, in so that they attack the barrier between Sukuna’s and Megumi’s Soul. This has gradually reduced the amount of Cursed Energy Sukuna could output. While the rate at which it has been diminishing is something we don’t know, what we do know is that Yuji’s stamina far surpasses any other sorcerer, which means he could pile up attack after attack on Sukuna. Even with a slower rate, the sheer volume will fasten the process.
  • Yuta has the highest Cursed Energy in all of the Jujutsu Sorcerers. Even Gojo accepted that Yuta surpasses him in the sheer output of Cursed Energy. So despite the tremendous Cursed Energy requirements for a Domain Expansion, Yuta’s Domain can be sustained for a long period of time, which should be enough to take down Sukuna.

  • Sukuna’s fight with Gojo has rendered him lacking in his offensive capabilities. The effects of continuous use of the Reversed Cursed Technique still linger on, paralyzing him from using Domain Expansion and other Cursed Energy heavy moves. However, his fight with Gojo was some time ago, and in between he has fought other sorcerers as well. Even though we do not know how long it takes to regain the facility of RCT, an experienced Sorcerer like him should be able to regain it back soon. This becomes a card that might appear before or after the fight, leaving it to chance.

Sukuna has remarked that the Sorcerers of the current generation have advanced Sorcery skills and stronger defenses than those of his time. This is a sign that the next generation is ready to take over. While Gojo was also technically the next generation, it was necessary for those sorcerers who were born out of the system to break into the new world, hence, even if it is a simple plan, Yuta and Yuji should succeed.

Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 250 brings back hope to the readers that this story won’t end in the likes of Devilman Crybaby. The tides have turned to the side of the Sorcerers and with Sukuna’s defeat, the story will come to an end. Unless Gege decides to continue and pull a Chainsaw Man Part 1 ending on us fans.
