JJK Chapter 254 spoilers brings back an older character: What happened to Kusakabe vs. Sukuna?

The Kusakabe vs Sukuna battle has come to an abrupt and tragic conclusion in JJK Chapter 254 spoilers. The battle witnessed a very tragic fall, one which when compared to an epic stands as a classical reminder of how heroes fall. Kusakabe was undoubtedly the strongest opponent Sukuna faced in a while and everything he did was out of kindness and a sense of duty towards his comrades.

In JJK 254 spoilers, Kusakabe emerged out of his shell and posed a great threat to Sukuna, managing to slash the King of Curses multiple times. However, his only flaw was his restlessness. He rendered the possibility of a slow and steady battle impossible, which made his instincts unnatural and unfamiliar.

But, as it has always happened, Gege Akutami kills one and introduces another – a tragedy to begin with. Likewise, JJK 254 spoilers introduce a new character in the arena. To stay updated with everything Jujutsu Kaisen, subscribe to our newsletter at Spiel Anime!

JJK Chapter 254 spoilers – a brief summary of Kusakabe vs Sukuna

JJK Chapter 254 spoilers begin by introducing the Kusakabe vs Sukuna battle where Kusakabe summons ‘New Shadow Style Simple Domain: Evening Moon Sword Drawing‘. Although Sukuna is surprised at this technique, he sends slashes flying towards Kusakabe. The latter easily defends himself against these attacks, earning praise from Sukuna and easily reading his opponent’s motions.

  • However, we are introduced to the fact that Kusakabe’s Simple Domain is expansive in nature and just as he realizes that Sukuna is about to use his World Cutting Slash, he quickly expands the range of his domain and engulfs Sukuna within it.
  • Following a barrage of cuts on Sukuna, Kusakabe’s sword breaks and he starts throwing kicks and punches at the King of Curses. In a series of such exchanges, Kusakabe realizes that he is restless and it all stems from his indebtedness to Principal Yaga.
  • He believes that he must pay tribute to his master and even go on to put his life on the line to honor the dead. In such a fit of rage and rush, Kusakabe uses ‘Hazy Moon‘ – a technique that allows him to form an aura that takes the shape of his Katana.

But just as he was about to land an attack on Sukuna’s heart, the latter stops the katana with just two fingers and says that it was painfully obvious to witness such desperation. In the immediate panel, we see Kusakabe lying on the ground with slashes across his chest and Ui Ui running to rescue him from battlefield. But is Kusakabe dead or is he going to make it out alive?

Kusakabe might not be dead but he is clearly out of the battle for now. Facing a fate that is now a repetitive pattern in the Jujutsu Kaisen manga featuring the battles against Sukuna, we can only be hopeful that the one who saved Ui Ui from Sukuna at least ensures that Kusakabe leaves the battlefield.

  • Just as the JJK 254 spoilers were coming to a close, it was Ui Ui who was rushing in to save a fallen Kusakabe. However, the cunning Sukuna was sneaking up on Ui Ui, stating that the presence of this child was pestering him.
  • Sukuna attacks, Ui Ui looks back, something rushes past, Sukuna misses, Ui Ui is in the grip of a man – it all comes down to a close and Miguel is introduced in the battle.
  • While Sukuna states that he is unaware of Miguel’s existence, the latter replies with witty humor at this remark.

Miguel in Jujutsu Kaisen is one of the strongest sorcerers in the series and was once able to fight Satoru Gojo on an equal footing. He has remained loyal to the ethics and beliefs of Geto, but has also remained good friends with Yuta and Gojo. His Black Rope was once able to strike through and penetrate even Gojo’s Limitless, but the real question is – Can Miguel defeat Sukuna?

Can Miguel defeat Sukuna – an honest opinion, no cap

Miguel vs Sukuna is supposedly a filler fight and nothing more. Anything otherwise would be simply an insult for Sukuna. I say this because none of it would make sense if Miguel somehow challenges Sukuna to a tough battle. Although Gojo praised Miguel, but he also thrashed the latter with ease and spared his life out of mercy.

Miguel’s appearance is primarily meant to shift Sukuna’s attention and let Ui Ui rescue Kusakabe. When the strongest of the sorcerers were beaten so easily, why would a foreigner with a comic demeanor be allowed to have the glory. Honestly, Miguel is simply a chapter away from either running away from the scene or being wiped out clean.

Gege’s move to end the Manga

The introduction of an old character in JJK 254 is an exemplary move by Gege. Even the Kusakabe vs Sukuna battle was not dragged for long and a straightforward end was quickly executed according to the spoilers. However, in the upcoming chapters, we must hope that it is either a miraculous return of Yuta and Yuji or a heavenly interference that brings back Gojo to life.
