The show visibly has multiple inspirations from some very popular names in the community, but what makes it iconic is the dungeon-leveling system that it uses to give its protagonist a shot at getting back at the other students. Simply used as a narrative to excel in his studies, this almost tuned-down gimmick from Solo Leveling is a refreshing perspective we will experience in the show.

What takes a turn in the story is how Asta actually has an Anti-Magic ability which makes him probably the strongest individual in the entire setting.
Nonetheless, what this show wishes to impart is the age-old moral that it is not what you are born with that makes you great, but what you end up doing that makes you who you are. Similarly, this story is Asta’s journey as he understands his powers and goes up against the system to become the Wizard King.
3. Mashle: Magic and Muscles

Mash is born in a world where magic is everything and the entire societal structure revolves around who has a stronger grasp over magic than the other. His world does not tolerate those who cannot wield magic and such individuals are discarded the moment they are found. In such a world, thanks to his adoptive grandfather, Mash receives a chance to enroll in the Easton Magic Academy where he must rise up in the rankings to become the Divine Visionary and change the world into one that accepts individuals like him.
The story has an amazing concept with a solid progression, however, what makes this anime so good is its cynical and deadpan humor. Mash is a muscle-head, not only can he not use magic, but he also does not try to pretend that he has magic. He gets carried over in the story all due to plot relevance. Aside from this, everything the show does is pure genius, from amazing opening songs to hyped fights, this show got it all.
2. Handyman Saitou in Another World

Moving forward from the battle shonen, here’s something that more than just simple fighting. Handyman Saitou in Another World is a story about a simple Handyman, named Saitou, who gets fired from his job. On his way home, he gets run over by a truck and is isekaied into a fantasy world. In this very new world, he meets a party that is looking to recruit someone exactly like him. A slice-of-life anime that puts a Main Character with practical skills in a world that is filled with magic and magical creatures.
This anime’s strong point is in how it expresses the interaction between the characters and the role that Saitou plays in the party. The old mage, Morlock, is forgetful and consistently keeps forgetting how and what spells to cast. Saitou pitches in and learns all of his spells for him, reminding him which one to use when he can’t remember it. Despite being unable to use magic, this little gesture by Saitou is a sign that makes this the perfect show to sit back, relax, and watch.

A real shocker isn’t it? Well technically, Fruits Basket falls right in line with the genre that we are going with. Yuki as a Main character cannot use magic, while the other main cast can. Curses are a form of Magic, so that counts. Due to a series of unfortunate events, Yuki finds herself sleeping in the forest in a tent. With a chance encounter with the talented family line Souma, she is invited to stay over at their place.
This is where the story unfolds. She soon finds out that the members of the house are no ordinary people. Not only are they talented in what they do, they are also cursed to transform into the animals of the Zodiac when they come in specific contact with the opposite gender. Watch how Yuki unravels the mystery within the household and the truth that lies deep within their hearts.
