Black Clover manga has been on a roll with how the manga has been progressing. We see the return of characters who passed away long back, cool power-ups, and finally the return of Asta and the Black Bulls. It feels like every chapter is screaming that Black Clover has entered its final arc. 

We might be in the final arc but there are a lot of unanswered questions. Yuki Tabata is a master of foreshadowing, he has dropped so many hints along the way, we’re yet to get a payoff for them. As Black Clover enters its final arc, let’s go over all the loose ends in the series which are still left in the plot. We will hopefully be getting them tied up sooner or later. 

1. The introduction of an Earth spirit

There are speculations about the existence of four elements in the series: water, fire, earth, and wind. So far we’ve seen the wind spirit with Yuno, Sylph. The fire spirit Salamander has chosen Fuegeleon and Lolopechika has the water spirit, Undine. We’re yet to see an earth spirit, which might never get introduced but if there is an earth spirit, who will be the chosen magic knight? A quick guess would be Mimosa.

2. Spade, Heart, and Diamond Kingdom’s participation in the war against Lucius

The Clover Kingdom is up against Lucius. Lucius isn’t a threat to the clover kingdom alone but to the whole world. We’re yet to see the other Kingdom enter the fight. There have been no hints of them so far but we’ll hopefully get to see them entering the war soon. 

3. The potential return of Asta’s mom

Asta’s mom was briefly introduced during Asta’s bonding with Liebe. As we see the return of the dead, like Acier and Morgen’s. It’ll be a waste to not get a reunion between Asta and his Mom. It’s a great and natural opportunity to have his Mom return. Yuki Tabata might have planned it all along. 

4. Yami and Charlotte’s union

Something which Charlotte and all of us, except for the Yami fangirls, have waited for the longest time, the union or at least some development between Yami and Charlotte. Yami promised Charlotte a date in one of the recent chapters after they defeat Lucius. Dense Yami finally realized her feelings.

We have no idea how it’ll develop but it’s one of the things to look forward to. We need this loose end tied up into a wedding knot. 

5. A closure to Yami’s past

Along with Asta’s training, we got to have a glimpse into Yami’s past. Ichika, Yami’s sister, realized that the thing she held against Yami for years was untrue. We need to see the siblings’ interaction with each other where this is addressed.

There was also no closure to everything which happened in his village. A lot of characters were introduced in the Land of the Sun, it’s natural to expect them to join the battlefield. That will also serve as a closure to Yami’s past. 

6. The Time Devil: Astaroth

Astaroth, who’s the time devil disappeared long back. There was no sign of him in the underworld. Lucius is the host of Astaroth so we’ll probably get the mysteries surrounding the devil and the scope of his powers revealed. There’s no ignoring the fact that Asta might have some relation to the devil, as Yuki Tabata for sure didn’t just coincidentally happen to give his main character a name similar to a devil. 

7. Dwarves joining the battlefield

The mention of the Dwarves can easily be overlooked. But one of the members of Black Bulls, Charmy, is a half-dwarf. It was mentioned that Dwarves were an ancient race who lived alongside Humans and elves and have special magical powers. Against a formidable opponent like Lucius, their skills are essential. Expecting Dwarves to return is harmless as the chances of their return are not zero. 

Conclusion 

All these loose ends just fill one with excitement. Black Clover will complete a full sphere sometime in the future tying up all the loose ends and giving fans their complete Clover Kingdom tale. We’re yet to see Asta become the Wizard king and a lot of other events unfold. Till then, happy reading(Black Clover)!
