Black Clover chapter 360 : Asta’s significance in the story

Black Clover chapter 360 Asta's significance in the story

Black Clover is on fire with exciting developments in the manga back to back. In the recent chapter, we saw Noelle vs Acier and Yuno vs Lucius, and Lucius mentioned Asta. Everything he realized demonstrates how important Asta is to the Clover kingdom. Asta’s effect can be seen throughout the manga but Black Clover Chapter 360 happened to sum it all up very well.

Asta’s Significance in the Story

Asta is the main character, so his significance is high up there but he is a very well-written, influential character. His vulnerability and uneasiness can be felt through the pages when he’s in a pinch. Asta feels very real, you can see him faltering and regaining his posture at many points. He holds onto hope whenever he can find it and persists to go on in life and fulfilling his dreams, like the time when he lost his hands.

Asta’s Magic type

Asta’s anti-magic helped the story move forward every time we were faced with strong opponents. Lucifero, Lilith & Namah, and Zagrid are examples of such fights. He proved valuable during the fights against devils when all other magic knights failed.

Characters Affected by Asta

We see that Lucius can predict the future and manipulate time. He claimed that his predicted future didn’t coincide with the reality that was in front of him. Asta was responsible for this change.

  • Yuno became Asta’s rival back in their early days. Asta has been the driving force behind Yuno becoming the strongest magic knight of his generation surpassing everyone around him.

  • Noelle had accepted her fate of not being able to control her powerful magic, and Asta and the other Black Bulls helped her rewrite her idea about her potential. She is smitten as well as inspired by Asta, she respects and looks up to Asta.
  • She adapted his good traits, as we saw in chapter 359 when Noelle was lamenting over Asta’s disappearance but held onto the hope that he’ll come back and focused on getting stronger in the meantime.

The Black Bull’s influence

The black bulls are a close family and Asta has influenced everyone in that family, as we have seen with Nero, Magna, and Vanessa. Asta has had valuable encounters with Nozel, Fuegeleon, Jack, Ichika, Charlotte, and almost every magic knight.

The Development trajectory of Asta

Proving himself valuable during fights, pushing others to surpass their limits, and making the story progress naturally are some of the contributions Asta has made to the story.

This shouldn’t avert your attention from his growth. Asta has grown more confident in his abilities and takes less time to recover from failures. His growth is easily digestible and his power-ups feel uniform.

Conclusion

To round it up in a few words, it can be said that Asta has helped in progressing the story organically. Maybe without Asta the fate of the Clover kingdom would have been the same as predicted by Lucius.
